Roasted cauliflower

This roasted cauliflower is a perfect side dish. Add some protein, like an egg, fish or some chickpeas, and you will have a lovely balanced meal. Cumin is great for digestion and this side dish feels warming and nurturing.


  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 tsp cumin, freshly ground in pestle and mortar
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp of melted coconut oil
  • 1 red chilli, chopped
  • 0.5 tsp of sea salt
  • fresh parsley
  • zest and juice of one lemon


  • mix everything in a bowl
  • lay on unbleached greaseproof paper and place in the preheated oven at 180C
  • bake for 30 min
  • once out of the oven, mix with some fresh parsley and lemon juice/zest
